Jeff Perro is a former Minor League Baseball clubhouse manager, multi-unit operations leader, and the founder of Good Teammates. With more than two decades of experience leading teams in professional sports, restaurant management, and high-volume retail, Jeff has built his career around culture, accountability, and developing people to perform at their best. He began his professional journey in Minor League Baseball, serving as a Clubhouse and Equipment Manager for multiple organizations, where he supported players and staff through the daily demands of 140-game seasons and spring training assignments. Working inside professional locker rooms gave him a firsthand education in preparation, leadership, and the qualities that separate good players from great teammates.
Jeff later transitioned into restaurant and retail leadership, overseeing multi-unit districts across the Southeast and building high-performing teams rooted in trust, clarity, and shared purpose. As host of the Catch Up with JP podcast, he has interviewed more than two dozen former professional baseball players, and a consistent theme emerged from those conversations: youth sports culture was drifting away from character, accountability, and true team development. Those insights became the catalyst for founding Good Teammates, a nonprofit dedicated to reshaping youth sports by emphasizing leadership, integrity, and what it truly means to be a great teammate.

Kory DeHaan was born and raised in Pella, Iowa, where his love for baseball began at an early age. He went on to play collegiately at Morningside College (now Morningside University), earning the opportunity to be selected in the seventh round of the 1997 MLB Draft by the Pittsburgh Pirates. After three seasons in the minor leagues, he was chosen in the Rule 5 Draft by the San Diego Padres and went on to spend time at the Major League level in 2000 and again in 2002. His professional playing career concluded following shoulder surgery in 2004, but the lessons the game taught him—resilience, perseverance, and the value of continual growth—would shape the next chapter of his life.
After returning to complete his degree, Kory transitioned into coaching, serving more than a decade in professional baseball with both the Padres and Pirates organizations. Following the COVID-19 pandemic, he stepped away from professional coaching to invest more intentionally in his family and community. Today, he is the founder of HitLab in Palmetto, Florida, where he trains and mentors young athletes while helping them pursue excellence both on and off the field. Alongside his wife of 25 years, a dedicated elementary school teacher, Kory is the proud father of three accomplished daughters and remains deeply committed to inspiring the next generation. He believes that sports provide some of life’s greatest lessons—and that success, in any arena, begins with being a good teammate.
